Books for Children’s Home

One of our ministry partners in Guatemala, Hope for Home Ministries, is doing a book drive for their Children’s Home and Women’s Home. Pastor Kevin has had a long relationship with the Alvarez family who runs these homes. They are doing great work!

They are still $685 away from their goal. If they can reach the $1,000 goal, they will also provide books to children/families in the surrounding community as well as the two Homes.

Books are hard to find in Guatemala. Even inexpensive books, such as those to be found at the Dollar Store, are the equivalent of $5-10 in Guatemala! As you can imagine, with many families living on $1-3/day, books are not a priority.

With Covid and it’s effects the past year, it’s been even harder to obtain educational materials.
